Alireza Mashaghi
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Alireza Mashaghi Tabari is a physician-scientist, biophysicist and physical chemist who leads the Interdisciplinary Medical Innovations group (also called MSBB lab). He holds a BSc degree in chemistry (with a minor in pure mathematics), MSc and PhD degrees in physics and an MD degree in clinical medicine with a fellowship in ophthalmology. He also gained extensive expertise in immunology at Harvard Medical School and Stanford University School of Medicine. Prof. Mashaghi has been affiliated with various academic institutions including Leiden University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Delft University of Technology, ETH Zurich, and Max Planck Institutes. He is an advocate of interdisciplinary education and research and published >150 peer-reviewed articles, and contributed to several books. He serves on multiple scientific advisory bodies, including as an editorial board member of NanoResearch and a member of the Board of Pharmaceutical Sciences at International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).
